Bottom-line Ethics:the Moral Basis of Constructing Socialist Harmonious Society

Bottom-line ethics is the basic social ethics that everybody should abide by.Standing in contrast to virtue ethics,it is the ethical and moral basis of harmonious socialist society.In the present society,we are seeing a lot of moral decline and loss of bottom-line ethics.To construct a harmonious socialist society,we should fully realize the relationship between bottom-line ethics and moral appeal.Democracy and the rule of law represent the inherent requirement of bottom-line ethics;equity and justice reflect the value orientation of bottom-line ethics;honesty,trustworthiness and fraternity materialize the essential spirit of bottom-line ethics,while the harmonious coexistence of man and nature embodies the true meaning of bottom-line ethics.
