Abstract

Objectives To analyze the distribution of group A of streptococcal genotype. Methods Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis was evaluated the genomic DNA of 179 strains of GAS. Results ①The same T type strains have characteristic bands, but some strains were more hete rogeneous; ②There were the same RAPD patterns between different T type. ③The discriminatory power of RAPD analysis was better than T typing, 96 6% GAS were typed by RAPD analysis; ④There were domain RAPD type in some T type strains. Conclusions RAPD analysis is useful in GAS typing and epidemiologicai investigations. It can discriminate the same serotype GAS from different region.
