Application and comparision of different central venous catheter in cancer patients.

Objective To compare the clinical application of different central venous catheter in tumor patient.Methods One hundred and forty-five tumor patients were divided into two groups: 62 in group A with the use of central venous catheter and 83 in group B with the use of disposable sterile central venous catheter puncture wrap.Catheters life,catheter-related infection rate,adverse reaction rates and area of tube placed,manipulation skills,and maintenance of the catheter were observed and evaluated.Results The average catheter life in group A was 35 days and 39 days in group B(P0.05).Catheter related infection rate was 14.52% in group A and 2.41% in group B(P0.05).Adverse reaction rate was 11.29% in group A and 1.21% in group B(P0.05).There was no obvious difference in area of tube placed,manipulation skills and maintenance of the catheter between the two groups.Conclusion In comparison with central venous catheter,the use of disposable sterile central venous catheter puncture wrap shows less catheter related infection and adverse reaction.
