Abstract

VMI is an advanced supply chain inventory management method that needs the enterprise to apply it with its own conditions and external supply business environment.This paper introduces the definition,role and implementation of vendor managed inventory.Based on example of Wuxi low voltage electrical Co.,Ltd,the paper analyses the characteristics and issues related to VMI that will help related enterprises to reduce inventory level and costs,and improve the core competitiveness of enterprises.
