Abstract

Infantile spasms(IS) is an age-specific epileptic syndrome, which has some features such as earlier age of onset, specific form of convulsion, progressive intelligence regression, and hypsarrhythmia in electroencephalogram(EEG).The etiologies of infantile spasms are complex and diverse. The pathogenesis is unclear till now.Although the treatment methods had improved, but still difficult to cure, and often left behind intelligent defects.
