Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of Huatan Tongluo Decotion(HTTLT)with Qianzheng San(QZS)on homocysteine in patients with acute cerebral infarction of ‘wind phlegm and blood stasis stagnating collaterals syndrome’ and its clinical efficacy. Methods: 160 patients with acute cerebral infarction belonging to ‘wind phlegm and blood stasis stagnation collaterals syndrome’ were selected by the traditional Chinese and western medicine diagnosis standard, and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group with 80 cases for each. The treatment group were treated with HTTLT with QZS and the routine western medicine therapy, while the control group were treated with the routine western medicine therapy only, evaluating the curative effect three weeks later.Comparing the TCM syndrome score, the Neural function defect score and the homocysteine level before and after treatment between the two groups. Results: The treatment group was better than the control group in the clinical efficacy and in regulating the homocysteine level(P0.05).Conclusion: HTTLT with QZS could improve the clinical treatment effect of cerebral infarction belonging to ‘wind phlegm and blood stasis stagnation collaterals syndrome’,and reduce the homocysteine level, which provided a new direction for the prevention and treatment of cerebral infarction.
