Abstract

As one of the schools of foreign language teaching theory,communicative language teaching has exerted profound influence on foreign language teaching.This paper mainly provides an overview of the theoretical development of communicative language teaching as well as content coverage of language testing guided by communicative language teaching,and points out that theoretical development and testing practice of communicative language teaching should be,in balance,developed in order to better promote the development of language teaching.
