Abstract
The central government's No. 1 document in 2009 pointed out that the income of farmers must be increased continuously. Some studies show that promoting the strategic restructuring of agricultural production will increase farmer's income as soon as possible. The relationship between the adjustment of agricultural production structure and the growth of rural per capita net income is studied with econometric models to verify the effect of adjustment of agricultural production structure on rural per capita net income, taking Jingzhou City in Hubei Province as an example. Some suggestions are offered to increase the income of Jingzhou peasants according to the analysis. Model analysis shows that in the internal structure of agriculture, the cumulative rate of change in the structure of agricultural production increases by 1%, per capita net income of rural residents increases 1.21%. The increase of proportion of planting and animal husbandry output value of the share will reduce the per capita net income of rural residents; and the increase of proportion of fisheries production will lead to increased per capita net income of rural residents. Within the planting structure, the increase of proportion of food crops acreage will lead to reduced per capita net income of rural residents; the increase of proportion of economic crop acreage will increase per capita net income of rural residents.
