Research reviews on tree biomass models

Tree biomass model is one of the methods of estimating stand biomass,and it is very important to study and estimate the forest biomass.Depending on the study of carbon storage,forest biomass has attracted again,and the precision requirement is increasing.The development and status of tree biomass models were presented.The types of biomass models,parameter estimation,evaluation indexes and the problems of heteroscedasticity and incompatibility in tree biomass models and the solving methods were pointed out.Furthermore,the paper generalized some new developments,and the research tendency of tree biomass models which are applied in forestry was discussed.
