Abstract
Comparative analysis of 5 planting patterns,intercropping of maize and potato,intercropping of maize and soybean,single cropping maize,single cropping potato,single cropping soybean was carried out in arid land,and the results showed that the yield and output value of every crop were decreased in intercropping system than in single cropping system,while the comprehensive yield was increased.Each crop in intercropping system could gain high yield by regulating the planting density of different crops.In intercropping system,only one crop should be treated as subject.To gain higher benefit,potato should be seen as subject in intercropping system of maize and potato,while maize should be seen as subject in intercropping system of maize and soybean.
