Abstract

Objective:To study on culture and identification of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC).Methods:Human endothelia l cells were isolated from umbilical veins, cultured in 20% fetal bovine serum (FBS)_M199 with endothelial cell growth supplement(12.5?mg/L) and heparin(100?mg/L)and identified using endoglin(CD105)、platel et_endothelial cell adhesion molecule_1(CD31)by flow cytometry and immun ofluorescent assay.Results:CD105 and CD31 in HUVEC were both positive expressio n.The percentage of HUVEC by flow cytometry was 96.56% in CD105+ and 90.42% in CD31+.Conclusion:The culture system for HUVEC is practical.CD105 and CD31 are helpful for identification of HUVEC.
