Abstract
Objective:To analyze the factors contributing to root canal therapy failure, summarize the defects in order to improve the treatment level.Method:210 cases (210 teeth),failed in root canal therapy, were given detailed inspection to analyze the failure reasons.Result:Among 210 teeth, 92 due to under-filling, 70 due to root canal missing, 36 owing to over-filling, and 12 were caused by other factors. Conclusion: through analysis, the above mentioned are the primary causes for the failure of root canal therapy. By constant improvement in operating skills, perfecting the indications of root canal therapy, the success rate of root canal therapy can be effectively improved.
