The Protection and Utilization of the Resource of Special Type Honeybee in the Changbai Mountain

Apis cerana cerana Fabricius.1793 in the Changbai Mountain is the peculiar resource in our country. The econ- omic benefit, social benefit and ecological benefit are considerable. However, the introduced Apis mellifera spp. have been threatening the existence and prosperityof Apis ceranacerana. Only by establishing the nature reserve ofApis cerana cerana , enhancingthe propaganda ofpublicwelfare of Apis cerana cerana, expanding the production ofapiculture, raising the investment of science and technology, promoting the elaborate process of bee products, can we protect the biological diversity of Apis cerana cerana and accomplished the continuable utilization of Apis cerana cerana resource.
