MICROSTRUCTURE OF PITCH AFTER CARBONIZATION

Abstract
Three pitch samples including medium pitch,modified pitch and impregnated pitch were carbonized with different temperature-rising programmes.The microstructure of carbonized pitches were characterized by polarized light microscope and scanning electron microscope. The results showed that the microstructures of three pitches are different,and the carbonization temperature has effects on the microstructure of carbonized pitches to some extent.
