The Value of Rapid Blood Glucose Meter in the Examination of Blood Glucose in the Emergency department

Objective To investigate the value of rapid blood glucose meter in the emergency test of blood glucose. Methods 90 cases in the emergency department of our hospital from July 2014 to July2015 were randomly collected. The blood glucose were detected by rapid blood glucose meter and conventional biochemical analyzer test. According to the clinical data,the effect of the two methods was compared and analyzed, and the value of rapid blood glucose meter for the emergency test were evalued. Results The average blood glucose level of 90 patients was( 8. 12 + 2. 13) mmol / L by rapid blood glucose meter,while( 7. 56 + 2. 63) mmol / L by conventional biochemical analyzer test. There was no obvious difference between the two methods( P 0. 05). The average detection was( 4. 12 ± 1. 13)min by rapid blood glucose meter, while( 34. 12 + 10. 13) min by conventional biochemical analyzer. The difference was significantly( P 0. 05). Conclusion The rapid blood glucose meter is accurate and reliable in the emergency test of blood sugar. Compared with the conventional biochemical analyzer,it is shorter,and the test results of the two methods were not significantly different. It is a safe and simple method of diagnosis. It is very important for the emergency test of blood glucose and worth to be popularized in clinic.
