Analysis of Water Resource and it′s Impact on Ecological Environment in the Middle Reaches of Tarim River

Based on runoff data in Yingbaza and Kala hydrological stations and other related data from 1961 to 2005,the runoff and consumption quantity in the Middle Reaches of Tarim River are analyzed by time order during 45 years.The runoff quantity diversification and trend, consumption and trend,the relation of runoff quantity and consumption during 45 years are obtained and analyzed. Analysis shows that the upriver runoff decreases and that in middle reaches also decreases,but at the same time the consumption in middle reaches increases and the runoff in lower reaches becomes less and less, which brings bad ecological environment issue. So we draw the conclusion that to resume ecosystem and develop healthy in Tarim River ,it is important to manage effective water resource in the Middle Reaches of Tarim River.
