Abstract
Objective To quantitatively study the strain rate change characteristics of left ventricular of the healthy, and its relationship with age. Methods IE33 ultrasound instrument and QLAB soft were used to measure strain rate of the left ventricular of 31(age45)and 30(age≥45)healthy persons. Results Left ventricular strain rate reduced from basal to mid,and to api- cal segments. The difference was found in the same segment between different walls, the strain rate of anterior and posterior walls were the largest. With the increase of age, left ventricular systolic and early diastolic strain rate tend to decrease, while the late diastolic strain rate tends to be higher. The differences have no statistical significance. Conclusions Strain rate can not be affected by age, and is one of the ideal indicators in evaluating cardiac function.
