Abstract

To investigate the species composition and distribution of ectoparasites on the rodents and provide scientific materials for infectious disease and vectors control,ectoparasites were surveyed from rodents trapped with cages.Total 286 rodents were caught from five cities and counties in Shandong province and 952 ectoparasites from the rodents were identified to 7 family,12 genus and 17 species,of which chigger mites were classificated into 5 species,3 genus of one family;Gamasid mites belonged to 6 species,4 genus of 4 families;Fleas surveyed were found in 6 species,5genus of 2 families.
