Abstract
Objective To analyze the infection of avian influenza virus H9N2 in human and chicken of Shenzhen. Methods Virus was isolated from in embryonated chicken eggs and the antibody of influenza virus H9N2 were detected by the method of hemagglutination inhibition. Results 27 strains of H9N2 virus were isolated from 300 chickens, but none from the human beings. The positive rates of the antibody against influenza virus H9N2 in chicken were 7%. There is a close relationship between the infection and the occupation in human. Conclusion The influenza virus H9N2 can infect human and chicken and the virus that infects human may mainly comes from domestic poultry.
