Reflection on Hakka Research from the View of Cultural Anthropology

Hakka culture is a kind of local and ethnic group culture which needs integrating with the knowledge of diversified subject. For Hakka research basically originated from history, both the scholars and theories and methods of Hakka research came from the history,so the importance of the cultural anthropology is less recognized than that of history to Hakka research. In fact, the theories and methods of cultural anthropology is the indispensable means to study Hakka culture. Due to the above reasons, the paper tries to discuss the basic methods of cultural anthropology such as field work applying to Hakka research, its influence and some thoughts resulted from it.
