Abstract

【Objective】The purpose of this research was to provide a theoretical basis for screening the Agropyron species with stronger drought resistance in Xinjiang by evaluating the drought resistance of two different species of Agropyron.【Method】This experiment adopted natural drought method and drought-resistance physiological index of A.Tawukumu, and A.cristatumtatum was measured and analyzed;According to the membership function, its drought-resistance was comprehensively evaluated.【Result】The results indicated that with the prolonged drought stress, leaf relative water content, chlorophyll content decreased, and the relative conductivity, proline content and the activity of antioxidant enzymes was elevated, and the indicators were recovered to certain degree after re-watering.【Conclusion】There existed significant correlation of the leaf relative water content, chlorophyll content,SOD activity,CAT activity, relative electrical conductivity and the content of free proline between the two species. The order of drought-resistance from high to low was: A.Tawukumu A.cristatum.
