The Latest Development in the Dual System of Vocational Training in Germany

Abstract

This article gives a brief introduction to the dual system of vocational training in Germany . It presents the structure of the training system which combines the advantages of training in a company and ed ucation in a vocational school. It also concerns the general situation of vocational training , including the number of trainees, the popular training occupations and the cost of the training . Finally , the pilot projects for innovations in vocational training are specifically recommended .
