Abstract

UML is the third generation object-oriented modeling language developed by Rational Software Corporation. It unifies and extends the methods of Booch, Rumbaugh and Jacoboson, and will become the standard of object-oriented modeling language in the future.We discuss the promoting methods from those often used object-oriented methods to UML in the basis of discribling the cores of UML technology, and focuses on the promoting methods from OMT to UML.
