A Comparative Analysis on Medical Expenses Structure and Tendency in Terms of Different Modes of Payment

OBJECTIVE To analyze the medical expenses structure and tendency between medical insured and uninsured inpatients, and to master the constitution of inpatients' medical expenses under different ways of payment.METHODS To analyze and compare data from the modes of payment and the constitution of medical expense by excel software.RESULTS Social insurance and self-paid are the main modes of payment.Commercial insurance is the least.Free medical service is max and self paid is min on medical expenses per capita.The social insured patients are increasing year by year but the medical expense per capita is flat.The drug expenses are more than 42%of medical expenses in all modes of payments.CONCLUSION The development of social insurance system progressed smoothly and the supplementary medical insurance should be strengthened.The drug expenses are the main component of the medical expenses.The promotion of the health system reform and free medical service reform is urgently needed in China.
