Abstract

With construction like a pile of firewood, attapulgite clay water suspensions show yield pseudoplastic fluid characters, conform to Casson model and have good thixotropy. Mg(OH) 2 and MgO, with positive charge and very fine size, can increase obviously the yield stress, viscosity and thixotropy of attapulgite suspensions.
