The Orientation of Archival Information Resources Storage Development——Object Based Storage

In this paper,three development trends in archival information resources(sharp increase in quantity,diversification in medium forms and dispersion and cross in contents) are firstly pointed out,Secondly the current situation and deficiency of the digital archive storage and management in recent years.And thirdly,the conceptions and characteristics of block based storage,file based storage and object based storage are analyzed.Finally,it is presented that the object based storage should be the best for the storage of archival information resources including vast amounts of unstructured data,which would be the orientation of archival information resources storage development.
