Research and Analysis on Spatial Cognition Abilities of Female Orienteering Athletes in China

Abstract

This paper,adopting a psychology measurement,makes spatial ability test on forty-six different level female people and common people.According to measure result,the character of spatial cognition for orienteer in China is discussed by cognitive psychology principle about spatial imagery.The result suggests that spatial cognition abilities of orienteer,especially the spatial orientation and spatial visualization have relation to locomotion achievement.
