Current analysis and investigation on fishery of otter trawl net in Zhejiang Province

Based on representative investigation data of society gained from 2001 to 2006 and the monitoring data of otter trawl net fishery from 2005 to 2008,the paper primary analysed the distribution of the fishing power and yield in fishery of otter trawl net,the variation of fishing resource density and composition of catches,the economic income and labor composition in the fishery.The results showed that in Zhejiang province,the number of otter trawl net vessel was about 2200 in recent years,the catch of these vessels was about 40×104 t,and the average net profits of single vessel fluctuated and achieved the top in 2005;The mainly capture was composed of cephalopod and groundfish,and its fishing ground distributes widely,the proportion of high commercial value fish declined,however the proportion of low-value fish increased in recent years.According to the existent problems of the otter trawl net fishery,the corresponding management suggestions for better development of the fishery were put forward.
