Abstract

Objective:To investigate the change of CD4+CD25+ T regulation cells in peripheral blood in children with asthma. Methods:CD4+CD25+FOXP3 T regulate cells in children with asthma were measured by intracellular 3-colour flow cytometry in peripheral blood cells in children with asthma. Results:There were similar frequencies of CD4+CD25+ T cells in peripheral blood of asthma children and health control. However, the quantity of CD4 +CD25 +FOXP3 T regulate cells was decreased significantly in peripheral blood of patients with asthma in comparison with that of normal controls (P 0.01). Conclusion:The proportion of CD4+ CD25+FOXP3 T regulate cells decreased in children with asthma, which might contribute to the pathological process of such disease.
