Effects of nursing intervention on constipation of unmobilizable patients in orthopedic department

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effects of nursing intervention on constipation of unmobilizable patients in orthopedic department.Methods: Analyzed retrospectively the clinical data of costive intervention(experimental group,n=120) or usual(control group,n=114) for nursing of 234 unmobilizable patients in orthopedic department from June 2010 to December 2010.Results: the incidence of constipation in experimental group was significantly lower than that in control group,in addition,the treatment rate of medicine for constipation patients in experimental group was significantly lower than that in control group,however,the effective rate of constipation patients in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group.Conclusions: Nursing intervention not only can decreases the incidence of constipation for orthopedics unmobilizable patients,but also has positive note for constipation patients.
