Abstract
A new species of Orchidaceae,Cymbidium rhizomatosum Z.J.Liu et S.C.Chen,is described and illustrated based on a cultivated plant collected from southeastern Yunnan,China.The new species is related to Cymbidium lancifolium Hook.,from which it differs by having two basal leaves appearing after flowers withering,and a yellowish-whitish rhizome 7~10 cm long and 6~15 mm thick underground.
