Analysis on the relationship between Zhuang's Drama of Yunnan and Religion

The relationship between Zhuang's drama and its folk religion are very close.Some of the Zhuang's Drama derived from sacred activities of Zhuang's folk religion.Mo-gong,Zhuang's sorcerer,plays irreplaceable position in the performance of Zhuang's drama.Before a performance given,Mo-gong will be invited to choose a lucky day for the performance,to speak incantation and invite Gods,and to exorcize ghosts and remove nefariousness.It is said that If Mo-gongs don't speak,a performance will not given.Many Zhuang's troupe are even controlled by Mo-gongs.Zhuang's drama is one of the most important contents in the sacred activities of Zhuang's rural religion.They entertain both God and folks.
