Abstract

Objective To explore the relationship between intestinal endotoxemia(IETM) and hepatic stellate cell(HSC) in early hepatic fibrosis. Methods The fibrotic model of rats was established by complex pathogens. The animals were executed at the end of 3 weeks. The activation of HSC was observed with transmission electron microscope(TEM)in different groups. The samples showed the changes of plasma endotoxine and TNF-α respectively. Results The activation of HSC was observed at 3th week end with TEM,and there was a difference of HSC activation between hepatic fibrosis and glycine groups.Endotoxine and TNF-α contents in plasma were increased in both groups. There was a difference of endotoxine and TNF-α contents between hepatic fibrosis group and glycine group. Conclusion IETM and the activitation of HSC occur in early hepatic fibrosis. There might be some relationship between IETM and HSC in early hepatic fibrosis.
