Abstract
The preliminary investigation in Baohuashan Natural Reserve,Jiangsu Province demonstrated that a total of 75 byophyte species, belonging to 22 families and 44 genera was observed, among which six species, belonging to six genera, were liverwort, and other 69 species, belonging to 38 genera, were mosses.East Asian,North Temperate and China-specific elements in the bryoflora accounted for 32%,27% and 10%,respectively.Pottiaceae,Brachytheciaceae,Hypnaceae,Bryaceae and Entodontaceae were five dominant families according to their species number.Soil matrix, soil thickness on stones, and moisture of samples showed important impacts on bryophytes distribution.Compared with soil-born bryophytes, the influences of human disturbances on the distribution of saxzcolous bryophytes was stronger.
