Abstract
In this paper,nonpolar ZnO crystals were synthesized by hydrothermal method with mineralizer of 3mol/L KOH and proper MgCl2·7H2O/ CaO,the fill factor of 35%,and reaction temperature of 430℃.When Mg2+:Zn2+=2% and Ca2+:Zn2+=2-3%,the rate of growth along c-axic was weakened obviously.The obtained ZnO crystals can expose more area on the positive polar face c{0001}.And it also exposed negative polar-c{0001-},positive pyramidal face +p{101-1},negative pyramidal face-p{101-1-} and hexagonal faces m{101-0}.The content of Mg2+、Ca2+ ions in the crystals is surveyed with X-ray energy spectrum,there are no Mg2+ and Ca2+ ions in ZnO crystals.
