Abstract
Based on the technology of GIS,volume of the soil erosion in the watershed of Huangqian was evaluated by using the revised universal soil loss equation(RUSLE).The result was reclassified according to the soil erosion classification standard.Relationships of soil erosion with land use and land slope gradient were analyzed and corresponding countermeasures for controlling the soil erosion were discussed. Results showed that the annual average volume of soil erosion in Huangqian watershed reached 41.03 t/(hm2·a),which was in the range of medium erosion, and the total volume of soil loss reached 1.33×104 t.A significantly positive relationship of soil erosion with slope gradient was observed.Soil erosion varied sharply with type of land use in a decreasing order of garden field, grass land, cultivated land, construction land and forest land.
