Economic Development Gap Between Town and Country and Its Harmonious Development Countermeasures in Shandong Province

In order to promote the balanced economic development in Shandong Province,the authors introduce the economic development gap between town and country from three aspects of income,property status and living standard of urban and rural residents,analyze main reasons to affect urban and rural economic development from four angles of location conditions,urbanization level,proportion of agricultural output value and rural labor productivity,and propose the countermeasures including deepening institutional reform,breaking the urban and rural dualistic economic pattern,optimizing the rural industrial structure,vigorously developing modern agriculture,advancing the rural urbanization process and accelerating construction of new socialist countryside for harmonious development of urban and rural economy in Shandong Province.
