Polysemy: a Cognitive Analysis with Prototype Theory

Abstract
With prototype theory,metaphor and metonymy of cognitive linguistics and 打 as an example,the polysemic phenomenon is discussed.By such a discussion,learners can understand the basic characteristics of polysemy and the links between the various meanings of a word,thereby they can initiatively establish a bridge among word meanings and improve learning efficiency.
