Abstract
Sustainable utilization of water resources is very important for the social and economic development in the Haihe River Basin. This paper studied the precipitation, water supply and water consumption in the basin from 1998 to 2006,analyzed the precipitation,ET water consumption and outflow into sea based on the theory of hydrologic cycle, and discussed the trend of the water resources development and utilization these years. It suggested on an effective way to realize water resources sustainable utilization.According to the plan of the south to north diverting project, water resources and water environment capacity will be improved in the Haihe River Basin. In the future, groundwater restoration and water pollution control should be paid attention to water resources protection and management.
