Abstract

The corrosion polarity of 7A52 in 3.5% NaCl water solution was predicted through galvanic series tests. The anode galvanic corrosion effect was validated with galvanic current and galvanic voltage test of different metals coupled with the alloy. It was concluded that the galvanic corrosion process is dominated by cathode process. It was founded that galvanic corrosion current has linear relationship with area ratio from galvanic corrosion current test of 7A52 and 5A06 alloys under different area ratio.
