Current status of serum tumor markers in lung cancer

Abstract

The determination of serum tumor markers is of great value for early diagnosis,classification of pathological types and clinical staging in patients with lung cancer.It is also useful in evaluation of prognosis and response to treatment.This article reviews the current status of serum tumor markers in lung cancer,such as CEA,CYFRA21-1,ProGRP,MMPs,TU M2-PK and so on.
