Abstract

The nine monks discussed in this article are representative poets of Late Tang Poem Style in early Song Dynasty, though little attention has been paid to them. Exploring their poems and their circle of triends, the author believes that in addition to the fact that they are the followers of Late Tang Poem Style, they also represent some new trend of the development of poems. So, they may be the distinctive feather of the transition period.
