Abstract
Objective To know density and seasonal dynamics of rodent of the past two years in Wuxi. Methods Trap-night method. Results The total rodent density from monitoring points were 0.97% and 0.84% of the year 2005 and 2006 respectively.272 rodent were captured, male and female ratio was 1∶2.4, female pregnancy rate was 12%, young rodent proportion was 24.67%. Rattus norvegicus was predominant in quantity, followed by R. tanezumi, Mus musculus, and there were no other kinds of rodent. Conclusion Rodent intelligence investigation provided the basis for the rodent control and choosing suitable method and time to control the rodents.
