Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the influnce of ischemic preconditioning(IPC) on liver ischemic reperfusion injury(IRPI).Methods:70% hepatic ischemia-reperfusion model were performed in normal and cirrotic Wistar rats.Ischemic preconditioning , non-ischemic preconditioning and intermittent groups were compared on IRPI, by serum liver enzymes, oxidative injury, histological and ultra strcture. Results: For both normal and cirrotic liver, preconditioning attenuated IRPI, compared with non-IPC and intermittent group. In normal rats IPC 5minshowed the best results compared with IPC 10minand IPC 5min×2Conclusion:This study proves that preconditioning,as a endogernous anti-reperfusion injury mechanism, can attenuates hepatic reperfusion injury. As a new hepatic occlusion method, preconditioning will be helpful to liver surgery and liver transplantation.
