Abstract
The quantitative and qualitative study on spore germination and infection of Curvularia lunata leaf spot was made. The results showed that spores can either or not germinate directly in pure water. Microdiode and compounds in maize leaf can accelerate remarkably the germination of spores. The germinated spores will lose infection capacity if dried for more than 1 minute. They infect maize leaf when temperature ranges from 15℃ to 35℃ and the optimum temperature is 25℃. Spores will not infect maize leaf until the dew time is over 7 hours.
