Research progress of sustainable evaluation index system of land use

Aim To provide reference for scientific methods of sustainable evaluation on regional land use by reviewing the research progress of the evaluation index system. Methods Based on the content of sustainable assessment,domestic and foreign research on sustainable evaluation index system of land use was summarized. Results Sustainable evaluation index system was primarily created by the models such as Resource-Environment-Economy-Society,Productive-Security-Protective-Economic-Social,Pressure-State-Response or Structure-Function-Benefit. Conclusion Although the theoretical framework for sustainable evaluation of land use was built in academic circles,as a matter as a fact,due to a number of subjective and objective factors,there still remained the issue of one kind or another in evaluation indicators and pattern,so it is worth discussing whether the evaluation indicators and pattern can truly reflect the sustainability of land use.
