Practice to improve the quality of safety management of extravasation of chemotherapeutic drugs

Objective To improve the quality of safety management of extravasation of chemotherapeutic drugs.Methods A three-level monitoring system was set up,including nursing quality management committee,oncology nursing team and group contact members.Then,the safety management measures for the extravasation of chemotherapeutic drugs were revised.Results This practice standardized chemotherapy nursing behaviors and reduced the incidence of extravasation of chemotherapeutic drugs.The incidence of medical and nursing disputes was zero.Conclusion The implementation of safety management of extravasation of chemotherapeutic drugs can provide safe and effective nursing measures for patients receiving chemotherapy, improve the quality of safety management for the extravasation of chemotherapeutic drugs,reduce the incidence of extravasation and avoid medical nursing disputes.
