Abstract
Molecular markers have been used to study the genetic diversity and genetic relationship of watermelon germplasm at present, the construction of the genetic fingerprinting, linkage molecular markers of the target trait and the molecular markers assistant breeding, the purity identification of varieties and hybrids, and so on. All these are summarized in this paper. And the prospect of application of molecular markers in watermelon is put forward.
