Abstract
Lu Xun has been regarded as the father of modern Chinese novels.His novels have not only influenced China's progress in the 20th century with provoking ideas and extensive connotations,but also attracted generations of Chinese by peculiar expressions and charms.Based on the researches concerned and theories of linguistics,the figures of speech in Lu Xun's novels are explored herein through intensive reading and case-based analysis so that the aesthetic effect and particular style of his use of language can be learned from.
