Abstract
The design and construction of wetland parks has become one of the hotspots in the field of wetland conservation and restoration. However, as a new method of wetland protection, there are few theoretical and practical researches on the fields of the theories and methods of wetland park design. No matter nature wetland or constructed wetland park, the primary aim of wetland park construction is to protect or restore the structure and functions of wetland ecosystem such as flood control, wildlife habitat creation or restoration, water quality improvement, and maintenance of open space. Different wetland parks with different kind of wetland ecosystem and environmental conditions could have different targets of design and construction. Only by using the theory of ecological restoration, could the goals of wetland protection and restoration be achieved by the approach of park design.
